Reduce Your Carbon Impact
According to the ECF, the manufacturing carbon footprint of a regular bike is estimated to be 134kg. However, Timewalker’s figures indicate that electrifying any bike adds an additional 65kg of CO2e to production emissions.
This means that the total carbon footprint of a basic commuter e-bike is approximately 165kg – 200kg of CO2e. Cycling saves at least 90% of CO2 emissions compared to driving. The good news is that after traveling 820 to 900 kilometers ( instead of driving those miles) on your bike, you will have reduced CO2 emissions by the same amount as it took to create the bike itself.
Cycling is beneficial for your health and fitness, but if we want to become carbon neutral, we need to use bikes to the fullest extent possible. By choosing to ride a bike instead of a car to get to the gym, the supermarket, work, or anywhere else you need to go, you may make a little contribution to your lifestyle’s carbon neutrality
Get more people to choose e-bikes over car
Research shows that using lower-impact transportation options, such as bicycles, can significantly reduce humanity’s influence on the environment. The climate situation cannot be solved by a single action, but bicycles are effective change-makers, and “getting more people to ride” is the most simple and effective action we can take.
Therefore, our e-bike models will always be designed with the simplest and most elegant design to suit everyone. At the same time, the design of different levels of electric assistance makes it easier for biker to decide to use a bicycle for a journey instead of a car or motorcycle as usual.
Mindful Production
It is understandable that a bicycle company would be concerned about the environment. Our product offers a solution to many of the world’s most pressing issues – traffic, public health, and climate change.
But even products that benefit people and the planet leave behind a footprint. And it’s a footprint we need to address. This also explains the steps we have taken to reduce our environmental footprint and outlines our goal for change. Most importantly, it provides a plan of action that we can all take to help fight the climate crisis and what we can do together to ensure a healthy future for our planet and all its inhabitants.
