Shimano released new crankset and derailleur options in 2021, adding versatility to its extensive selection of 12-speed mountain bike components. Because of its benefits, Timewalker uses its deraileur for FRC500 e-bike.
It has introduced two new cranks, one of which is an XTR option, that have 55mm chainlines to give bikers more clearance for contemporary bike designs with wider chainstays. The new XT short cage rear derailleur from Shimano offers improved ground clearance for aggressive riding while retaining Shimano’s renowned fast, smooth, and dependable shifting.

New Shimano 12-Speed Cranksets
To accommodate new mountain bike frame designs and more extreme riding conditions, Shimano offers two new cranksets (FC-M9125-1 and FC-M512-1) with a 55 mm chainline. This new 55 mm chainline sits between Shimano’s FC-M9100 (52 mm) and FC-M9130 (56.5 mm) cranksets, delivering more chainline options for a diverse range of mountain bike designs.
They are both intended for use with 148 mm wide O.L.D. rear wheel hubs, including direct-mount chainrings for simple installation and Shimano’s DYNAMIC CHAIN ENGAGEMENT+ for greater chain engagement and retention over rough terrain.

Derailleurs
Their new 12-speed XT derailleur offers benefits and characteristics, including fast and accurate shifting performance, a bigger 13T pulley wheel, and a stable drivetrain.
Thanks to the new short cage XT rear derailleur and a reduction in the total weight of the rear derailleur, cassette, and chain, it also enables faster cycling and more smooth rear suspension motion.
