Absolutely an urban-optimized ebike.
I have tested dozens of e-bikes, and I have chosen this one! Test drived many far more expensive brands, but this feels much more natural because of the torque sensor and the very light weight. Design is awesome too of course! Especially I like the display fully integrated in the steer. Hoping in future models a model with bigger battery comes available for longer trips. Also a steer carrier would be a very nice to have. But these are only wishes, this PRC500 is a one of a kind favorite for me, hope to enjoy it for years!!James Walker

Easy to carry
I have tested and evaluated other full-sized e-bikes, but this one is the lightest. It is simple to lift and carry up stairs, place on bike racks, and cycle without assistance because it weighs only 17.5 kg. Yet, the motor is strong and provides observable assistance.David Johnson

Shifting is extremely fast and quiet. I’ve heard some other electronic derailleurs that produce a louder electronic chirping noise when changing gears. Although the Shimano Altus derailleur is pretty basic, I couldn't ask for more at that price.
